June 2 Murren to Montreux – Golden Pass?

    We will travel via STP from Murren to Montreux June 2nd .

    We had hoped to take the panoramic Golden Pass on the leg from Zweisimmem to Montreux , but it appears it is closed for repair till the next day or following week or so . One gets off for quick bus connection to accomodate construction .

    I had seen an indication two routes might be best , via Bern or Zweisimmem . Is there any sense it is wiser to go via Bern given this rail repair issue ? . Or is the Zweisimmem route scenery substantially better and any bus switch issue minor ?

    Hi Tom,

    You shouldn’t have to worry about construction as it is due to be finished June 1. If there is a delay in that I would say the Golden Pass route is better and the bus transfer quite minor (12 minutes or so total on the bus).
