Hi

I will be in Jungfrau region from Aug 14th to 18th visiting Schilthorn, Murren, Wengen, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen - taking train from Interlaken and first reaching Lauterbrunnen . We are three of us.

Does Jungfrau Travel Pass cover all the areas mentioned above?

And then on 19th I might take Luzern Interlaken Express to go back to Zurich - or any other scenic train ride to go back to Zurich. So not sure if i need to buy Swiss Travel pass just for this one way trip back. We will also take CabriO Stanserhorn cable car ride. So will Swiss Travel Pass help ?

Do i also need Swiss Travel Pass along with Jungfrau Travel Pass ? does it benefit if i m doing one way scenic from Interlaken to Zurich and Cable CabriO Car ride

Regards

Ajay

I've been considering the same question and decided to buy Half Fare card valid for 1 month, then purchase the Berner Oberland Regional Pass for 6 days reduced by Half Fare Card. This regional pass covers most lifts and all trains in the Jungfrau Region plus trains from Bern to Lucern (not Stanserhorn Cabrio). Its worth looking into.

Hi Ajay,

The Swiss Travel Pass provides a wider coverage compared to the Jungfrau Travel Pass. You can compare the validity area of each railpass below:

Based on your plans, using a Swiss Travel Pass might be sufficient. It provides free travelling on the local transport in the Jungfrau region, covers the train journey to Zurich and provides discounted travelling on mountain transportation such as the cable car to Schilthorn. The excursion to Stanserhorn is also fully covered. A Jungfrau Travel Pass might be a better option if your plan includes a trip to Jungfraujoch and you want to avoid buying tickets for each mountain excursion in the Jungfrau region.
