    Dear all,

I need advise on the Jungfrau pass.

I will buy a 4days Jungfrau travel pass for my holiday in 3rd week of Sept but I need to clear some doubts before I buy the pass.

I will travel trains and cable car via Grindelwald: Interlaken-Grindelwald-Eigergletscher (‘Eiger Glacier’)-Jungfraujoch (1h36).

May know what is Train from Eigergletscher to Jungfraujoch: Fixed discounted price (2022): CHF 63 for a return ticket. Do I need to pay this $63 ?? $63 is 1 way or 2 ways ?

With the Jungfrac pass, what else do I need to pay beside the seat reservation at CHF $10.

As for the seat reservation, how it works? I am really confused? Reserve the seat from SBB website or what? I tried to reserve from Jungfracjoch main page but the system charged me full ticket amount!!

Any advise n information are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks ~ Jenner

    Hi Jenner,

For the trip up to Jungfraujoch, the Jungfrau Travel Pass (JTP) is valid up to Eigergletscher. From Eigergletscher you will need a ticket for the train trip all the way to top of Jungfraujoch. With the JTP, this is a fixed price of CHF63 return. You can find more details about how to travel to Jungfraujoch here: http://www.myswissalps.com/jungfraujoch/gettingthere

In good weather and during peak periods, it’s recommended to book seats for the trip to Jungfraujoch. You can book the priority boarding here: http://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/jungfraujoch-top-of-europe/book-priority-boarding/

    Hope this addresses your concerns.

    Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Anna,

Big thank to your quick reply.

What does this mean “With the JTP, this is a fixed price of CHF63 return”?

This “$63 return” isn’t referring cover both ways:

    @ Eigergletscher to Jungfrac

    @ Jungfrac to Eigergletscher

    or I have to $63 x 2 for 2 ways?

    Thanks.

    Hi Jenner,

    Sorry I wasn’t clear enough.

The CHF63 return ticket covers the trip from Eigergletscher to Jungfraujoch and Jungfraujoch back to Eigergletscher. The rest of your journey from Interlaken to Eigergletscher is free with the Jungfrau Travel Pass.

    Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Jenner,

You can purchase the discounted ticket to Jungfraujoch at any rail station in the Jungfrau region. Just present the Jungfrau Travel Pass at the counter. The priority boarding can be booked separately online.

    Anna

    Hi Jenner,

The discount offered by the Jungfrau Travel Pass (see https://www.myswissalps.com/jungfrautravelpass/validity and https://www.myswissalps.com/jungfraujoch/tickets) is a very specific one that’s not used a lot. That’s why you won’t easily find online purchase option for this fare. As Anna explained you’ll be able to arrange for it at one of the rail stations in the Jungfrau region (https://www.myswissalps.com/jungfrauregion) upon presenting your pass.

Note that the price for this discounted return ticket is in Swiss francs: CHF 63, which is about USD 66 at this moment.
