I am very interested in buying a 3 day Jungfrau Travel Pass, but I am trying to determine when the trains, cable cars, etc start and stop times for each day. I have searched many websites and cannot seem to find anything listed. Does anyone know the answer?

    Thank you, Sean

    Hi Sean,

Thanks for joining MySwissAlps! All public transport can be found in the timetable: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable. Do read the instructions before using it, so you can get the most out of it.

More pass information is here: http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfrautravelpass.

Thank you for the reply but this doesn’t really answer my question. I would like to to know when is the first and last train of the day for a given line example, Lauterbrunnen – Grütschalp. Is there a table listed somewhere? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sean,

I see. Well, you can do a search for 4:00 AM for any route and it will give you the first train. A similar approach for the last train. Also you can download actual timetable PDF files from http://www.fahrplanfelder.ch/ en/welcome.html.

As a rule of thumb almost anything will be running after about 08.30 and before about 20.30. Less ‘important’ mountain railways and purely tourist-orientated cable ways stop in mid evening, and that is the case with the Mürren link via Grütschalp and the higher reaches of the Jungfrau railway. However because Wengen and Grindelwald are towns, they have a much later rail service even though they are in the mountains.

Thank you! This was the information I was looking for and was afraid the times may be an issue as I’m a photographer and like to catch sunrise and/or sunset which generally eliminates public transportation. I shall find another way!
