Hello

Thank you for your help in advance. I am planning a trip to Switzerland with friends next April and we were planning on doing the Schilthorn with the STP, however we have now been advised that this is now not free with the STP. I have looked online and am trying to find the price of Top of The Mountain at Jungfraugoch to do instead. I am trying to compare if we should get the Half Fare Pass or the STP , however I am finding it difficult to navigate the website to find the prices for Top of The Mountain. I understand the train fares are free with STP and half price with the half price card

Any help wound be greatly appreciated. We are staying in Lucerne.

Thank you for your reply Lucas. Using the above websites, and using the SBS timetable. it appears that the Half price card is better value than the Swiss Travel Pass to do Top of the Mountain. However I am unsure why this would be. I entered in Grindelwald to Grindelwald.

If you were only going to Jungfraujoch, the Swiss Half Fare Card is better yes. It is cheaper to buy and gets a better discount (50% vs 25% to Jungfraujoch from Grindelwald or Wengen).

The best rail pass may change when you take into account other trips you take while in Switzerland.

You can better compare rail passes once you’ve finalized your trip in Switzerland and know what trips you will make each day by rail, cable car, bus or boat.
