I just bought Lake geneva regional pass from train station. The officer told me that It does not cover city transport (bus/tram) in Geneva. The info in this website say that It cover. What is the real information?

I haven’t heard of that before. Did he say other city transport like in Montreux is not included either? The only exceptions I know of are explained here: http://www.myswissalps.com/re gionalpasslakegeneva/v alidity, and on their official website as well: http://www.goldenpass.ch/en/g oldenpass/offer/view?id=64. This is only the Lausanne metro and one bus line.

If you stay in Geneva you will get free city transport anyway, even without the Regional Pass Lake Geneva – Alps: http://www.myswissalps.com/ge neva/travel.

The officer told me that all city transport is not included. I also asked the information desk at train station. He replied that only Geneva airport to geneva city is included.

I checked with the experts of SBB and they don’t know of any restrictions either. It looks like the staff you talked to made a mistake. But please let me know if you encounter any issues in practice. Thank you. I asked staffed at Lausanne information center, she said I can use this pass for Lausanne public transportation.

During my 3 free day, I did not investigate by any officer so I did not know the exact information.
