    Hi, Annika/Arno –

Been checking on the threads on the Lavaux Wine Train and saw that you guys mentioned that this is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass. By any chance, would you know what the Mobilis Lavaux Riviera Pass is? Tried checking on train tickets online via SBB and a box popped out making me choose among several Mobilis Passes. Will i still need to purchase the mobilis ticket if i have swiss travel pass? we only have half a day to explore the Lavaux region. Our itinerary would just include:

    a. Geneva to Vevey, then take the wine train from Vevey to Chebrex. From there, we walk/hike to St Saphorin.

    b. Take train from St Saphorin/Rivaz back to Geneva. or hopefully we still have enough time to to go around Lausanne since we should be getting to Lausanne at around 6pm already. might be better if we explore Lausanne on another day?

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kate,

The Mobilis Lavaux Riviera Pass is a local pass, roughly covering the area between Lausanne and Montreux. You do not need it. The Swiss Travel Pass covers the same and much more (the entire country), including the Vevey to Chexbres train. Be sure to sit on the left for the best views.

    Here’s a short walking tour of Lausanne: myswissalps.com/ hiking/lausanne.

definitely looking into the walking tour of Laussane. Hopefully, we get to do this. so many places to see in Switzerland, but so little time for us!
