To make the most of my Swiss rail pass I am planning to stop off at both Luzern and Bern on my way to and from Interlaken from Basel. Does anyone know if there are places to leave luggage at these stations?

    Hi Chris,

Yes, both rail stations offer lockers and storage rooms. Details are available at the SBB website.

    Hi Chris-

To add a bit to what Arno said-

If you work the menus at the SBB website to find a specific station, you can then then look at tabs for “services” and “equipment'”

In the case of the few biggest stations, the names are already called out at the left of the page. For other stations, you need to dig a little deeper.

Lockers are common at almost all of the medium and large sized stations. The really small stations out in the countryside don’t usually have them.

“Services” describes the hours of the left luggage facilities and lockers. “Equipment” shows how many lockers, what size and cost.

I use the ones at Luzern all the time. I have not used the ones at Bern for a few years. Don’t recall exactly where they are now.

The lockers in Luzern are way out along the platform for track #1, so they are a bit of a walk.

Left luggage at Luzern moved recently, so I don’t know where it is now. May be up on the mezzanine; used to be on the lower level.

In all cases, there are signs with symbols for the left luggage and also for lockers all over the stations.
