Hi NJ Neel,
I had a quick look at the link you provided and did a quick google search too. In summary, here are the basic details about the Light Festival in Lucerne:
- It will be held from 9 Jan – 19 Jan 2020, from 6pm to 10pm
- It is a showcase of illuminated artworks by artists from around the world, carefully chosen and displayed in selected sites within Lucerne such as selected tourist attractions, squares and various locations around the lake
- Free admission throughout the showcase
This will only be the second time the Light Festival is being held in Lucerne. Thanks for mentioning it as I had no idea. It’s on my winter to-do list now.
You can easily combine your trip to Titlis in the morning with a stop in Lucerne in the evening. You have to switch train in Lucerne anyway on the way back from Engelberg to Zurich, so it’s a perfect excuse to visit the Light Fetival and do a quick city tour (you can choose a guided one or plan one yourself). Hi Ann,
Great! this reconfirms the event.
I am so much looking forward to it during the trip. Hopefully, more will be posted on the site regarding the locations for display.
Thanks.

Hi NJNeel-
Not sure where else you will be, but the overhead lights on the Bahnhofstrasse in Zürich are rather nice, too.
