Hi, we 6 people (4 senior citizens) will be in Lucern from 5th Nov - 8th November 2019. This is our first ever visit to Europe. Help required for below doubts:

1) which mountain should we visit as Mt.Titlis is closed as mentioned on their website, also will it be closer for sure ? Preferable cable car is something we don’t want to miss.

2) If not mt. titlis, which other mountain we can visit ?

We are very disappointed as all bookings are done and we just got to know that titlis is under maintenance. Is visiting titllis a must on our Lucern trip, or any other mountain can give us the same good experience. Thanks

Hello Ankur Dangi and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

Nice to hear you're coming to Switzerland.

I'm afraid that the chance of the revision dates of Mount Titlis being changed are small to inexistant.

However, you can easily visit Mount Pilatus and/or Mount Stanserhorn, both also reached by cable car (plus funicular on Mt. Stanserhorn), so that should be a valid alternative:

- www.myswissalps.com/st anserhorn

Also Mount Rigi is in the area of Lucerne, offering you the possibility of a nice round-trip, including boat, if desired:

Hope you can find valid alternatives among the selection, otherwise check below link for a nice selection of mountains to visit, plus the second timetable link to figure out traveling times to each destination (do-ability):

Best,
