We have a hotel accommodation from Zurich. Is it possible to do the Lucerne boat Cruise, Mt. Rigi and Stranserfom cable car in one day with plans to see more of Lucerne before going back to Zurich? Which one should we do first? Thanks!

Would you kindly let us know when you are travelling? This makes suggestions easier and input more accurate, as some destinations are not open throughout the year (see Stanserhorn).

Overall you plan will be a fairly long day trip from Zurich. Any specific reason why you don’t stay in Lucerne? It would be the better base city for this trip.

Don’t worry too much, as the journey Zurich – Lucerne only adds around 50 minutes on each side of the trip, so still do-able!
