We will be arriving to Basel on the River Cruise. After the cruise we will have 4 days to explore Switzerland and would like to fly back from Milan. How can we transfer our luggage to Milan from Switzerland and what is the best way to go to Milan while exploring Switzerland?

As far as itinerary goes are you into Scenic Trains? If so weave one or more into your plans. See http://www.myswissalps.com/ac tivities/scenictrips/t rain.

Otherwise set up base in Jungfrau Region or Lucerne and go from there to Milan via Gotthard Panorama Express (http://www.myswissalps.com/go tthardpanoramaexpress).

Just a couple of ideas. The choices are endless.
