Hello everyone,

I first would like to say thank you to everyone on this forum for assisting me in planning out my travels to Switzerland. The information on here has helped immensely with planning our trip.

I was planning to hike from Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg tomorrow, Sunday 9/18, as the weather forecast looks to be rather sunny. But in checking the webcams there appears to be snow there right now, so I was wondering if the hiking trail would be open.

Is there a place or website to check? I am staying in Interlaken.

The 2nd link has a webcam that shows the snowfall – very pretty! Looks like it will be cold, maybe a little wet, but it’s above the treeline so any snow should probably melt? It’s not a long hike so you should be fine. It seems to have been more of a dusting than an appreciable amount of snow?

Welcome to MySwissAlps.

The weather forecast indicate it might be snowing above 1500m this weekend. But I don’t think it will last long. You can check the status of the hiking trail on Mannlichen here: jungfrauregion.swiss/en/summer/planning-and-events/mountain-railways/status-facility-hiking-trails/
