My wife and myself, both senior citizens, from India had a wonderful trip in Switzerland for 9 days from Sep 4th. We completed our Europe trip and returned home two days back.

We visited Geneva, Zermatt, Lucerne, Zurich and Bern. We made an interesting visit to Chateux de Chillon. Zermatt was a disappointment. It was our fault that we went upto Gornergrat without checking up the weather report. It was a total whiteout with very poor visibility . We were wiser by the experience when we reached Lucerne. Advice we had read in Forum came in handy. We changed our plans to visit Jungfrau and Mt.Titlis. Instead we utilised the time to visit Bern and took a trip in the Lake.

Within 3 days the weather improved and we had a glorious time in Jungfrau. We did a short hike also from Mannlichen to Klein Scheidegg. Next day trip to Mt.Titlis was also very pleasant.

We had taken 30day T Sim from India. We ordered it online and got delivery within two days. We had fixed up the activation date beforehand . It worked very well throughout Europe and quite economical.

We had taken an eight day Swiss Travel Pass. It was extremely convenient. We used it extensively for travel between cities, intracity travels, boat rides etc. Taking into account free admission to Castle, museums, discount we got for trip to Jungfrau and Titlis it was economical. And it saved us a lot of hassle.App SBB was excellent, easy to navigate, full of relevant and required info.

And finally about Forum. I cannot put forth in words the value of inputs I received directly to my queries from the experts of the Forum and from the various replies they had given to others queries about all aspects of travel in Switzerland. It greatly helped me in planning my trip and gave us the confidence to do the trip on our own. . Thanks to all the experts for their valuable advice, We wish them goodluck in their efforts to make Switzerland a tourist friendly country .
