The Swiss Half Fare Card is only valid for 1 person. You and your friend would need one each. Definately not cost effective for such a short visit I would say.

Hello all,

Thank you so much for all your input. After all the budgeting I did with my friend, we decided to buy Swiss Travel Pass instead. It's more efficient and gives us more flexibility to travel.

Since I already bought the ticket to Domodossola, do I need to reserve the ticket from Domodossola to Interlaken? Or is it ok for me to just show STP on the train? I understand that we don't need to get off the train.

Thank you so much for your help.

Just show the Swiss Travel Pass to the inspector on the train. No additional ticket or reservation required. You are now in Switzerland! 😎

Make sure your passport is accessible as you may be asked for id.

Have a good trip.
