I've got some idea of what to do in my family(with kids and senior citizens) trip to Montreux.I would require some more suggestions as we would be arriving from Paris at about 4 pm and then stay on for three nights in montreux before we move to Geneva for one night. The long walks are out of question with our family but would love to have wonderful memories from this trip. Please suggest an itinerary for this trip.Would love the Swiss scenery.

Hi Andrew, and welcome to MySwissAlps!

We don't create itineraries here, but can point you in the direction of information to assist you to create your own. When you have an itinerary, you can ask for comments on it if you like. Make sure to include your travel dates if you want accurate advice.

First of all, check out these links: uthwestswitzerland ntreux neva usanne

You might enjoy a trip on the Golden Pass scenic rail route from Montreux to Zweisimmen or all the way to Interlaken Ost. ldenpass

Local mountain trips in the Montreux area include:

Les Avants-Sonloup funicular

(train from Montreux to Les Avants, then funicular to Sonloup) oldenpass/offer/view?id=8

Funicular Territet (Montreux) to Glion ss/offer/view?id=9

Les Pléiades (train from Vevey) oldenpass/offer/view?id=85

Funicular railway Vevey-Mont-Pèlerin ss/offer/view?id=10

The Train des Vignes might also interest you. It runs through the vineyards from Vevey to Puidoux-Chexbres, but there will be a bus replacement service between 7 July to 26 August 2018, due to construction works. There is a bit more information in my post of Apr 30, 2018 - 2:01 PM on the following page: rum/topic/saver-day-pass-sdp
