    Hello,

How do I get to the vineyards from the castle? Do they “close”, or are they just available to see/walk by on route from walking from a bus/train stop on the way back from the castle to Montreux? Can you help with a plan once we are done touring Chillon so that we can have a nice walk by the Vineyards back to Montreux?

    Thank you!

    Hi Autumnz,

You’ll have free access to the vineyards and they won’t close. There are many hikes possible through the Lavaux vineyards. My suggestion would be to take the train to Saint-Saphorin (14 minutes) and take the hiking trail “Terrasses de Lavaux” to Lutry (+/- 12 km). From Lutry you can take the train back to Montreux. A shorter version would be to walk to Cully. And if you’re there between April 13 – 21, don’t forget to visit Cully Jazz.
