Good morning all and happy Monday

We are traveling from Montreux to Annecy tomorrow. We have the Swiss rail passes.

How is the fair calculated to Annecy if we choose to travel by train? Do we purchase from Geneva?

looking to get to Annecy from Montreux as easy as possible as traveling with 2 kids and 4 large suitcases.

    Kind regards

    Matt

The Swiss Travel Pass only operates within Swiss borders. Use the SBB Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) to plan your travel. Also see http://www.rome2rio.com/map/M ontreux/Annecy for options.

    Hi Matt,

And use the timetable here from SBB to find connections. Your best bet (if it works to your schedule) has two changes on the way from Montreux. http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

    Hello Matt,

I prefer the trains normally, but on that route the bus from Geneva to Annecy might be quicker: http://www.flixbux.co.uk/bus-route/geneva-annecy. The train from Montreux to Geneva is free with your Swiss Travel Pass.

    Thanks all.

    Hi Arno,

we booked the bus tickets from Geneva to Annecy.

google maps indicates that it’s a 6 min walk from the train station to the bus station. Is that about right?

    Hi Matt,

Yes, that sounds about right. The bus leaves from the Place Dorcière. You can enter the Rue des Alpes (a bit on your left as you walk through the main exit), and just follow it until you see the square with buses on your right.
