    Dear Sir or Madam,

We’d visit to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc from Montreux on a day trip. Could you inform us as follows:

    1. How long does it take to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc by train and bus respectively?

    2. How much does it cost of the fares for train and bus respectively?

    Best regards,

    Akira h52

    Hello Akira h52,

To find the connections between Montreux and Chamonix Mont Blanc use the timetable below:
http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable, the journey takes around 2 hrs

Regarding the price this will depend on if you hold any kind of rail pass in Switzerland, which might cover the journey up to the border. See:

There won’t usually be a bus involved. The route is all by train: Montreux – Martigny – Chamonix. From Martigny it is a joint Swiss/French railway service

    Dear 1960man,

Thank you for your quick reply.

It’ll be very useful for us to travel to the border and decide to use trains, as it is really important for us to choose and decide whichever train or bus as a public transportation.

    Kind regards,

    Akira h52
