    Hello again zittelm,

The most scenic route is from Montreux via Zweisimmen to Interlaken Ost. You have to get to Interlaken Ost to get to any of those villages.

You will be aware, from an earlier thread, of the short bus detour just after Montbovon but don’t let that deter you from following the Golden Pass Line (http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass).

I wouldn’t recommend Gimmelwald. American travel writer Rick Steves goes into raptures over it but there is not much there apart from a cable car station and a rudimentary hostel or two.

Wengen is a favourite but Mürren is nice and very handy for Schilthorn.

From Lauterbrunnen a very nice circuit to do is to Grütschalp (cable car), Mürren (cogwheel train), Gimmelwald (cable car), Stechelberg (cable car), Lauterbrunnen (bus). From Mürren you can easily visit Schiltorn. In between Stechelberg and Lauterbrunnen the bus stops at the Trummelbach Falls.

    Well worth a look.

Also from Lauterbrunnen it is just a short train ride to Wengen.

All these places are searchable on the MySwissAlps website.
