I have four days in Geneva. I plan to have one day to go to the mountains and back to Geneva. Which mountain train do you recommend? I have Swiss half fare card. Do I need to reserve seat? Where I can find train schedule?

I also want to see Lausanne or Montreux. Which this two you recommend? I plan to take day trip and back to Geneva the same day.

One day in Geneva to see the city. What do you recommend me to see?

Hi Daniellittle,

From Geneva, the closest mountain would probably be Rochers De Naye (https://www.myswissalp s.com/rochersdenaye), near Montreux – you could combine both the city and the mountain in one day. https://www.myswissalp s.com/montreux

You can use the Swiss railways timetable to plan the trip from Geneva to the mountain and back to Montreux and Geneva. https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable (about 2.5 hours one way to the mountain top)

Another mountain, about an hour further, is the Glacier 3000 (at Col Du Pillon): http://www.myswissalps.com/glacier3000. This is a much higher mountain if you are looking for that.
