Mt Pilatus – Parking at Alpnachstad

    I have looked and I’m coming up empty. Planning to visit Mt. Pilatus(cogwheel), and I see there’s a parking lot with a parking machine there that does not take credit, and we will not have currency yet. I see I can pay with an app, but goes anyone know which app? Also I’ve read reviews that the machine is a bit tricky, any clarification or info you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Tripgirl2020,

    There is a car park next to the Alpnachstad train station, located just walking distance from the Mt Pilatus coghweel train station. It’s CHF5 per day. So might be a good idea to have some cash (notes and coins) in advance. If you prefer to pay online, you can download the P+Rail app.
