We’re arriving June 11 in Zurich and planning to do Mt Rigi, Lake Lucerne Cruise and Stanserhorn cable car in in one day. Coming from Zurich, which one should we do first? We will be purchasing Swiss Rail pass so we will be flexible with our time but I just would like suggestions on planning on which one to do first coming from Zurich so we could maximize our time. Thanks!

You would need to look at the timetable to find the best connection and travel times http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

However most likely you would arrive in Lucerne and then take a cruise, do Rigi and then a cruise to Stansstad so you could then do Stanserhorn, then go back to Zurich.

What time are you arriving in Zurich?

I would catch a train through to Stans, visit Stanserhorn then either pick up a boat at Stannstad back to Luzern (you can actually change boats at Verkehrshaus or there is one boat that goes from Stansstad to Weggis), then boat on to Vitznau. Go up to Rigi Kulm. Go down to Arth Goldhau. Train back to Zurich.

Doing too much on the lake other then Luzern to Vitznau could chew up a fair bit of what I would think may be limited time.
