Need suggestions traveling 3 nights to Murren

Hi ! My husband and I are traveling for the first time to Switzerland and need some help elaborating our itinerary. We are mostly interested in sight seeing and admiring the beauty of the Alps. We would like to choose a town as our base and visit nearby locations. We think our best choice is staying in Murren (for what we´ve read) and the visit nearby attractions and towns, Which attractions or towns do you reccomend? Does the swiss pass include getting to those towns/attractions?

We can give better advice if we know when you are traveling and how long you are going to be in Mürren. Will you be traveling on Day 1, or already at Mürren? Three full days?

We'd probably not recommend Mürren in April or May, for example.
