Hi, I found that there are different ticket types available. The Supersaver tickets are valid for the specific time and about 50% cheaper. Offer is subjected to availability. My Swiss Travel Pass will not start when I arrive at Zurich airport. I will like to get some advise for my trip from Zurich Airport to Chur :

    1) Can the Supersaver tickets be bought at the Airport station or only through the SBB App only ?

    2) Are the Supersaver tickets usually sold out early ?

    Hi Zeto,

Supersaver tickets vary in availability and price. It’s hard to predict whether a Supersaver ticket is available for your specific travel time and date, and what its price will be. Please refer to https://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/switzerland and the link under “Information on other websites” for details.

You can only buy Supersaver tickets online. And in your case I don’t recommend buying them in advance. If you get a ticket for a specific train departure, but miss that train due to any delay, the ticket costs won’t be refunded. Your best bet is to wait until you’ve arrived at Zurich Airport and have collected your luggage. You can then estimate which train to Chur you can catch. Then see if Supersaver tickets are available for that specific journey Zurich Airport-Chur and by it through the website or app.

I hope you’ll like the flexibility offered by the Swiss Travel Pass! In case you haven’t bought it yet, you can find recommended purchase options at https://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/price.

    Does this answer your questions?

In a few exceptional cases, supersaver tickets can be refunded.

If you have missed the booked connection (e.g. flight was late or you could not make it on time), you can purchase another ticket at the standard fare valid for the same day and have the supersaver ticket refunded after travelling. You must show the ticket collector the original supersaver ticket with a confirmation as well as the original ticket purchased at the standard fare. Only tickets for identical routes may be refunded. A surcharge of CHF 10 will be applied.

Thank you. My other option is to consider the Swiss Travel Pass Flex. I have made reservations on the Glacier Express and Bernina Express. Can I use the Swiss Travel Pass Flex instead for these segments ?

    Hi zeto,

Yes, the Swiss Travel Pass Flex is valid on the Glacier Express and Bernina Express: https://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpassflex/validity. Just make sure you are travelling on a chosen free travel day. You can find more information on how to use the STP Flex here: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpassflex/howtouse

    Regards,

    Anna

Hi Anna, thanks. When I made my Glacier Express and Bernina Express reservations, I indicated that I have the Swiss Travel Pass. If I use the Swiss Travel Pass Flex now, will it matter ?

    Hi zeto,

You can use your Swiss Travel Pass Flex, you’re all good. It only means that you are using ‘a day’ from your Swiss Travel Pass Flex. But otherwise, the Swiss Travel Pass Flex is equal to the Swiss Travel Pass.

Have a look at the link, Anna shared with you: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpassflex/howtouse
