Am travelling with my husband and 2 kids (age 13 n 11). We will be staying in Wengen for 6nights. Am looking for one day trips from Wengen. Some of the places I have in mind is Jungfraujoch, Interlaken and Lucerne. Any other places that you can suggest ? This is our first time in Switzerland. Am planning into buy the Swiss pass and definitely going to Jungfraujoch n mt. Pilatus

which is a better boat trip – lake Zurich or lake Lucerne?

Hi Skaushik,

You could store your luggage in a locker in Zurich airport or main train station before exploring Zurich. I think Lake Lucerne is a nicer boat trip.

I don’t know of any chocolate factories around Wengen.

Would like to know what is the best mode of transport- bus or taxi from Zurich airport to the train station from where We will be boarding a train to wengen? We will be having luggage. Cost difference please .I reckon the travel time is around 15 minutes.

The train station is in the airport at Zurich

A good day trip from Wengen is Schynige Platte and a walk on the panaramaweg also you children might enjoy the mountain carts and trottibikes on the way up to First

Yes the best way from Zurich airport to Zurich train station is by train. About 8ch and 12-15 minutes. (taxi’s will be around 40chf and 15-20 minutes in good traffic)
