Paris to Switzerland during the TGV strike

    We have reservations of tgv lyria from paris to Lausanne on 28th may from Gare de Lyon. It is mentioned on few websites that there is train strike on 28. So will this train run on 28th? Do intercounty trains run during strike?

    Hi HarshaB,

    It is listed as a strike day and that can affect your trip yes. TGV lists all strike information on their website here: https://en.oui.sncf/tr ain/strike

    You’ll want to read through that and possibly contact them as well to be sure for your specific train.

    If our train gets cancelled, then what is the most convenient route to reach lausanne from Paris?

    It would either be a bus trip or a train on a non-strike day.

    Or you could look at flying to Geneva and then a fairly quick train to Lausanne.
