Hi, I will visit Switzerland on coming September and my planned routes are as below:

Reach Lugano from Milan, and then

    • Lugano to Zermatt (through Domodossola)
    • Zermatt to Interlaken
    • Interlaken to Lucern
    • Lucern to Basel

Based on my research, should I bought the Swiss Travel Pass, this pass will cover all my routes mentioned above, am I right?

Besides, for the route from Zermatt to Interlaken, can I choose to ride Glacier Express from Zermatt and off at Visp before continuing my trip to Interlaken? If I am allowed to do so, do I need to make reservation?

All the journeys you list are very standard journeys on the main Swiss rail network – undertaken by 1000s of passengers daily. As such the Swiss Travel Pass is very much valid on those routes.

There is no point in taking the Glacier Express for the Zermatt – Visp journey, just take the normal local train (twice per hour)
