I will be traveling from Milan to Lauterbrunnen and spending 5 days there. I will have a little transit/cable car use while there to Wengen and Murren but will mostly be hiking. Then I will return to Milan. I am not sure a pass would save me money. I would not be visiting any museums to use that savings. Any suggestions?

If you are traveling only 1 day or 2 days (Milan – Lauterbrunnen and back), you can buy for those days Saver Day Passes. They are valid from the border to Lauterbrunnen and back. they are not valid for mountain transport but you can reach Mörren and Wengen for free with it. If you buy a Saver Day Pass earlier, usually they will be cheaper: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass/price.

For the Italian leg of your trip, you have to buy tickets. Learn more here: http://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/italy

In case you would like to have a pass that also gives you a discount on mountain transport, I recommend the Swiss Travel Pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass. Mürren and Wengen are free to reach from Lauterbrunnen with the Swiss Travel Pass.
