Hi all,

Can anyone advise if the walking path from Murrent to Gimmelwald will be closed in mid-Dec? Would it be full of snow which can’t walk through? My original plan was to reach Schilthorn. Unfortunately, cable car will be closed on Dec 9. Then, I might take this gentle hike trail instead. Understand that it’ll be a pleasant walk in Summer. But not sure about winter conditions. Appreciate any insights!

If there hasn’t been (heavy) snowfall yet, the path might still be accessible. This can’t be predicted though, so you’ll have to wait and see once you’re there. If there has been quite some snowfall already, some hiking paths will be groomed as winter trails.
