    Hi there,

Im travelling to Switzerland for honey moon with my wife at 25Oct – 1st Novemeber

i was just checking the the schedule for Mt Pilatus at http://www.pilatus.ch/en/inform/timetable .

and i found out that the facilities are closed due to maintenance work from 24 October 2022 – 4 November 2022

Does it mean that i wouldnt be able to get to Mt Pilatus as its closed for maintenance? Is there any other way or should i just change a sight of attraction for my visit?

    Best regards,

    Jacky

    Hi Jacky,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

That’s right. The gondola service to Pilatus is scheduled for maintenance work between 24 Oct to 4 Nov 2022. During this period, you can still travel to Mt PIlatus via the cogwheel train from Alpnachstad. You can find further details about how to reach Pilatus from Alpnachstad here: http://www.myswissalps.com/pilatus/gettingthere

    Hi Ann,

Thank you for your prompt reply!

    Just another quick question.

1)Will i be able to get to Fräkmüntegg with the CogWheels ride?

    2) Do i just example purchase the tickets for “Kriens – Alpnachstad | Single trip” and i am eligible for Cogwheels ride for both ways?

    Hi Jacky,

Unfortunately access to Fräkmuntegg is not possible when the cable car is under maintenance.

If you’re travelling via Alpnachstad, you should get a return ticket Alpnachstad – Pilatus Kulm – Alpnachstad: https://www.myswissalps.com/pilatus/tickets.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Jacky,

The toboggan rides on Fräkmuntegg operates from daily from mid-April to the end of October. Another way to get there is to take a Alpgschwand cable car from Hergiswil. You can view the information here: http://www.alpgschwaend.ch

    HI Anna,

it seem like the touboggan ride at mount pilates is closed during 26-27 October period.

Do you know of any other touboggan ride that is available around 26-1november period?

do you have any outdoor activities to recommend?

    Regards,

    Jacky

    Hi Jacky,

Unfortunately, even the rope park closes on the 23. Oct.

That time will be the Astronomy event: http://www.pilatus.ch/en/discover/astronomy-evenings.

    And the Dragon Glider might be open end of Oct, you can check it here: http://www.pilatus.ch/en/discover/dragon-glider;

Wirzweli tin toboggan is open until 01/11, but it is a shorter toboggan, 535 m long and a bit further from Pilatus. It is open daily from 10.00 – 12.00, 13.00 – 16.30.
