    Hi there,

My friend and I will be travelling in Switzerland in.

So far our rough plan is to stay 2 nights Bern (12 and 13th May) and 1 night in Lucerne (14th May).

We will be travelling from Domodossalo on the 12th in the morning. we want to explore and go to as many places as we can.

How long (hours) should we stay in Interlaken and Thun? Are they big cities?

    Thanks

    Hi Yanti.

    Better in than out. 😉

Not sure what you mean by “cover” as in “Places to cover.” Will you walk around the town, or get off the train and get back on again after a quick look near the station? Stay for a meal? Visit major tourist attractions?

Neither Thun nor Interlaken are big cities. Interlaken is a good transfer point, but not much of a tourist destination. Mid May is still the end of winter in the higher altitudes near the Jungfrau, causing some limits on the tourist attractions and facilities.

I’d spend more time in Luzern than Bern.

Bern is more convenient as you come up from Domodossola, but Luzern offers a more varied experience, with lake an mountains.
