Snowman, the link doesn’t work for me – just a blank page with a gray circle in the middle.

Hi Pvonk,
The link brings me to the correct page. On which device are you using the link?!
You can also get an APP for download on mobile devices. Name: WC-Guide
IPhone – http://www.wc-guide.com/eng/content/ 32-iPhone
Android – http://www.wc-guide.com/eng/content/ 35-Android
Hope this works.
Best,
Steph

Based on Steph’s contribution, try again on a desktop computer.
Based on my own test with a mobile phone, indeed you get that grey circle. But on a mobile phone you can load an app which is really the thing to have once you are in the field. The app is called WC-Guide, as also mentioned in the above post, and could possibly be available only if your phone is registred in Switzerland, I’m not sure about those things. The WC-Guide shows toilets in Switzerland and the Principality of Lichtenstein only.

Hello everyone,
That’s what I call a shared learning-process. I also didn’t know that it only works once in Switzerland, but then again, somehow it makes sense..
Will be helpful for anybody with the same question in the future!
Thanks everyone!
Steph

Hi Hisham-
You’ve gotten the best advice, as noted.
For simplicity, I’ll add that the main stations in Basel, Luzern and Zürich have very clean public toilet facilities under the brand name “McClean” for a fee. Here is an example in Luzern main station:
http://www.sbb.ch/content/int ernet/sbb/en/bahnhof-services/bahnhoefe/bah nhof-luzern/geschaefte/shop -detail.html/geo-mcclean-hygienecenter-wcdusche-1998
And in Zürich, there are several rail stations that were the terminus of suburban rail lines many many years ago, and are now part of the rail network. Stadelhofen, Wiedikon, Selnau, Tiefenbrunnen, to name a few. Same is true of Basel. They will have public toilets….don’t know about the exact type or cost.
Interlaken Ost is a small station but will have toilets.
