Questions about Zurich ZVV 9 o”clock pass

    It is mentioned on the respective website that night supplement of CHF 5 is to be purchased alongwith ZVV 9 o clock pass if nighttime transportation is to be used.

    My query is if we return to our hotel in opfikon/kloten area by night 09:00 pm- 10:00PM from Zurich City, and we have purchased ZVV 9 ‘o’ clock pass only, even then we need to pay for extra nighttime supplement or not?

    Please guide.

    Hi Malang85,

    From Monday to Friday, the ZVV-9-UhrPass is valid from 9 am until 5 am the following day. No restrictions on Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays (meaning you can use it for travel before 9am).

    The night surcharge of CHF5 (flat rate) is applicable if you are using the public transportation after midnight, usually at the weekends or during public holidays. I don’t think you need to worry about this if you are travelling back to your hotel before midnight.
