    Hi,

We are a group of 4 people reaching Basel airport on Friday evening and returning on Sunday evening. We booked accommodation in Luzern and would like to cover Mt Titlis on Saturday and Rhine Falls on Sunday and back to Basel to catch the flight. So what’s the right pass to pick or normal tickets itself is fine?

These will be the basic routes for our trip…

    Baselairport to Luzern

Luzern to Mt.Titlis summit and back to Luzern

    Luzern to Rhine Falls

    Rhine Falls to Basel airport

    please suggest…

Hi SenthilStar, and welcome to MySwissAlps,

I would skip the Rhine Falls, stay in Lucerne and purchase the Tell-Pass (winter or summer). Here you can read what is included in the Tell-Pass. For your trip Basel to Lucerne and back, you’ll have to purchase point-to-point tickets.

If you still would like to see the Rhine Falls, you will have to do the math to see if you can benefit from a rail pass or not. On this page here you can download a spreadsheet to help you.

Thanks for the quick response Chantal. We are traveling this weekend 12th to 14th Jan. So is there any alternative places covered by the tell pass winter which is like a falls ? Also the tell pass itself is enough for all the traveling to Mt. Titlis?

Please download the network map from this page: http://www.myswissalps.com/te llpasswinter/validity. If there are any falls within the network you can take the train for free.

Yes, Mt. Titlis is covered. As well as Mt. Rigi and Mt. Pilatus. More information in the link above.
