My husband and I are travelling to zurich in August. We will stay the night in Zurich, then take the train to Zermatt staying two nights. We would like to do a day trip from Zermatt,on our one full day in Zermatt.. We then will be taking the train from Zermatt to Brig transferring to another train to take us to Rome.
We are thinking the best pass to buy would be the 3 day swiss pass. We thought about the 2 country Swiss/Italy pass for 4 days aswell.
What are your thoughts, would be appreciated

The Eurail Select could also be an idea but probably only works out best if you plan on several or more train trips in Italy and not just to Rome.
