Rail travel discounts with Riviera Card

    We are arriving at Geneva airport on Friday 22 September and will be getting the train to montreux where we will be staying.

    On arrival at hotel we have been advised we will receive a riviera card and would like to know how much discount we will receive on the return train travel to Geneva and also is it 50% discount on CGN round trip on the boat, thank you in advance

    Hi Sweetyboys3 and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    The Riviera Card only covers a small portion to Geneva (basically as far as Vevey) then you need to have a ticket for the rest of the route.

    There is a 50% on most CGN boat routes but not all. You can find more details on their website here.

    thank you for your reply. So will I get a discount on the train from Montreux to Geneva or will it be full fare please

    You will only need to buy a ticket from Vevey to Geneva (it coves you from Montreux to Vevey).
    So the ticket will be a little less.
