    Hi,

We are travelling to Grindelwald at the end of May for 5 days (2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 10 years). We’ll be flying in and out of Zurich, and will be based in Grindelwald for the entirety of the stay. The main purpose of the trip is to take in the natural beauty and go for some easy to moderate hiking. I need some advice on the most economical combination of tickets/passes to purchase for the high-level itinerary below please:

Day 1: Travel to Grindelwald from Zurich and explore the town. No excursions planned.

Days 2, 3 and 4: Excursions to the following places:

    • First Mountain
    • Männlichen
    • Lauterbrunnen
    • Schynige Platte
    • Jungfraujoch
    • Interlaken (Harder Kulm)

Here I’m thinking the 3-day Jungfrau Travel Pass might be the best option. Would you agree?

Day 5: Travel back to Zurich and spend the day there before heading to the airport later in the evening.

What would you recommend is the cheapest option to travel from Zurich to Grindelwald and back if we take the train? Are there regular bus/coach services that we should also consider, and how long would this journey normally take?

    Thanks a lot in advance.
