Hello Lovetoteach,
Where do you have the news from that it will be rainy from the 5th of July onwards?! To be honest, I wouldn’t mind, it’s has been over 30 degrees for over a week now and I have to water my garden daily. 🙂
However, humidity is increasing in the coming days. What can happen quite often in summer, and this IS forecast for the coming days, is that high temperatures combined with high humidity often result in thunderstorms in the mountain areas in the course of the afternoon.
So the best recommendation for mountain visits is to be there rather earlier than later, as the risk of precipitation normally increases during the day.

Don’t get too worried about the weather forecast NOW, shot term is always more reliable. Keep an eye on it and don’t expect days to be entirely rainy from A-Z, this barely happens in summer.
Best,
Steph

Thanks Steph,
I was checking the weather for next 10 days on weather channel app. Good to know from you that it doesn’t rain all day and we are early birds so we can start early in the mornings to visit mountains.
Again, thanks for the information.

I have had very good luck with Meteocentrale.
http://www.meteocentrale.ch/e n/weather.html
It specializes in Switzerland and has a finer cut on location and character of the weather.
Just remember that a forecast, although nominally for a broad area, in fact, has to report rain if it is there in any small part of the day and any part of the region..

PS – By the way, the title of your thread is likely to discourage reading it.

Thank you for the information. I will check that website for the weather. I know I became little anxious about the could be rainy trip but me and my family will still enjoy the beautiful Switzerland for sure.
