When I go to the SBB refund policy looks like Saver Day Passes can be refunded if one buys a regional pass on the same / overlapping dates for e.g. the Jungfrau travel pass or Bernese Oberland Pass.

Is this correct ? Does anyone have experience doing this ? Can I do this at the point of sale when I get to Interlaken Ost ?

If you purchased your Saver Day Pass directly from SBB, you can get a refund if you subsequently bought a railpass valid within the same travel period. You can find more information here: http://www.sbb.ch/en/help-and-contact/refunds-compensation/ticket-refunds.html

Saver Day Passes are different from regular tickets and have their own limited refund options (https://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass). One of those is indeed “subsequent purchase of personal travelcards”. I’m not sure if regional passes mostly used by tourists, such as the Jungfrau Travel Pass (https://www.myswissalps.com/jungfrautravelpass) or Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland (https://www.myswissalps.com/regionalpassberneseoberland), fall under the “personal travelcard” category. Chances are this only includes travelcards linked to digital accounts mostly held by Swiss residents. Your best shot is to give it a try with the digital refund form that you’ll find under Anna’s link.
