    Hi Everyone,

I’m travelling to Switzerland next month with my wife and 2 yo kid. My question is – Family coach/zone available in all the trains? especially in golden pass route? How to identify?

Is it possible to navigate to family coach from other coaches during the travel( while moving)

    Kindly advice. Many thanks

    Siva

    Hello Siva,

    Have you seen http://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/on-the-train/family.html.

If a train has a Family Coach you will see FA next to it on the timetable.

They operate only on the following routes:

    • St. Gallen–Zurich HB–Bern–Geneva Airport
    • Romanshorn–Zurich HB–Bern–Brig
    • Basel SBB–Bern–Brig
    • Basel SBB–Bern–Interlaken Ost
    • Basel SBB–Zurich HB–Chur

For a Family Zone you will see FZ.

You’ll need to await some advice from another member who has more experience of travelling with kids to explain how they work in practice.

    Hi Rockoyster,

Many thanks for your link and info. From the link i understand there wont be any family coach in golden pass route, but probably family zones only.

    Thanks again

    Siva

    Hi Siva,

Correct, there won’t be a family coach. Some trains do have family zones, but not all. As rockoyster explained, the timetable will tell you.
