    Hi,

I will be traveling to Switzerland from 23 aug 17 to 28 aug 17, my wife will be traveling with me along with my 2 children (age-8yrs/3yrs), I will be in switzerland for around 6 days, following is my schedule:

DAY 1- travel from zurich airport to Lucerne- lucerne city tour and mt pilatus

Day 2- mt titlis and giri mountain

Day 3- zurich city tour and Rhaina falls

Day 4- glacier express tour OR Gotthard panorama express

Day 5- day tour to bern city

Day 6-visit to lucerne transport musuem/chocolate factory

when I checked for the swiss travel pass, it shows that the passes are available for 3/4/8/15 days, as I will be there only for 6 days, is there any way I can get a 6 day pass, the passes are too expensive as I will have to purchase 8 days pass for me and my wife, I know that travel for children will be free…….could someone please advice on this, depending on my above plan what kind of pass should I go for….

    Hi aiyaz1705,

Yes, unfortunately there are no Swiss Travel Passes for any number of days. However, many people buy a pass for a longer duration. It does not matter as long as you save money with it. I think the 8-day Swiss Travel Pass would be an excellent choice for you. It gets you all the train trips for free, and even the trips up to Mount Rigi (did you mean that one?) and Pilatus are free. You’ll get a 50% discount on Mount Titlis and the Swiss Museum of Transport.

To be 100% sure how much you save you would need to do the math as explained here. I would recommend to compare the Swiss Travel Pass and Swiss Half Fare Card.
