Hi,

Please help to check if my understanding is correct.

1) If I purchase a half fare card, my 8 year old will travel along for free everywhere with me?

2) If I purchase a Regional Pass Bernese Oberland, I need to pay CHF30 for a 8 year old, right?

3) What if I purchase both cards (which seems likely after doing the math)? Do I still need to pay anything for my 8 year old?

Thanks!

Hi mickdar, welcome to MySwissAlps,

1) Yes, correct: myswissalps.com/ swisshalffarecard/ price

2) Yes, you either pay CHF 30 for the child pass, or CHF 30 for a Junior travelcard which covers the entire country: myswissalps.com/ regionalpassberneseobe rland/ price.

3) Yes, the options under 2) still apply in that case. You will get a discount on the Regional-Pass if you also have a Swiss Half Fare Card.

You can purchase both passes, including the discount, through www.swissrailways.com/ en.
