Restaurant reservation on Luzern-Interlaken train

    Hello, We have made a seat reservation in the Bistro car Goldenpass Luzern-Interlaken Ost.

    Do we need also to make a reservation in a carriage for this journey or are we able to stay for the entire journey in our reserved seats in the restaurant car? Thank you.

    Hi Famwood and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    Usually, once you’re done eating you’re supposed to sit elsewhere to make room for others. But a multi course lunch or dinner may take nearly the whole ride here – so you may not have to move.

    In any case, reservations, while possible, aren’t particularly needed for that route. If you are asked to leave once finished I am sure you could find a seat elsewhere, but I’d be surprised if you had to move.
