Reservations needed for Zurich-Chiasso train?

    Hi..i am Liza from Malaysia. I bought SDP from website. May i know if i need to reserve seat for the train from Zug to Chiasso. I need to go to Milan, and i just bought trenitalia tickets from chiasso to milano centrale with seats.

    Hi Ejadania,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

    There’s no need to book seats on Swiss trains. You just need a valid ticket or a railpass. Exceptions are special panoramic trains such as the Glacier Express and Bernina Express which require obligatory seat reservations.
