We are a party of 4 seniors who wish to travel by train (in June of 2020) from Geneva to Interlaken one day and from Interlaken to Basel the next day. We would like to have reserved seats all the way. We are looking for insights as to the best way to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi JRL001 and welcome to MySwissAlps!

You don’t really need seat reservations on Swiss trains, however if you really want to have them it is always possible. You can read all about it here: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/reservations

All the best on your journey!

    Maria.

I assume you will be travelling Geneva to Interlaken following the Golden Pass Route (http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass). It’s not the fastest route but is the more scenic option.

You can make reservations including seat selection at bit.ly/2kaq6Rf. Click the “e” for English language top right of the page. (where it says “Sprachwahl: d i f e”). Then change the class of travel, date of travel and start/end points to suit. Reservations are not compulsory but are recommended on the Zweisimmen to Montreux leg (which is where the Panoramic trains operate) during peak tourist season.
