I’m sorry if this has been asked before but I’m wondering how far ahead I can reserve seats on this boat/train. We want to travel on Friday 21 September from Lucerne and will have Swiss Travel Passes.

Thanks. I’m a bit confused about the boat bit. If I can’t reserve seats on the paddle steamer, what happens if so many people want to board that there’s no room left?

Hi Judy,

Theoretically it is possible but very rare. I would get to the boat 20 or so minutes before departure to get in line (to be on the safe side in the summer).
