Hi. My family of 6 are planning a trip to Switzerland in May 2020. I am attempting to create an itinerary but have gotten stuck on the tickets for Jungfrau. If we purchase the Swiss Pass and travel from Interlaken to Grindelwald,to Jungfrau and then back through Wengen and Lauterbrunnen to Interlaken, do we just buy 1 (one) ticket for the trip or do we have to buy a ticket from Grindelwald to Jungfrau and then Jungfrau to Wengen (as these are not covered by the pass) ? Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

Thanks for joining MySwissAlps! I assume you will purchase a Swiss Travel Pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass. SwissPass is something different and mainly for residents: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/swisspass.

With a Swiss Travel Pass you only need a ticket from Grindelwald to Wengen via Jungfraujoch. This is one ticket, and you’ll get a 25% discount on it. The rest of the route is included in the Swiss Travel Pass so you don’t need a ticket for that.

Yes, we will be purchasing the travel pass. Thank you so much, i have looked everywhere for the answer to this question. I didn’t think they would just leave us at the top of the mountain if we didn’t have another ticket but who knows. 🙂 I can already tell this forum is going to very helpful as i am just getting started with the planning. Thanks again!!
