Last day in Switzerland Rigi or Pilatus?

    With only one day to go into the Alps from Lucern, which is the better choice – Rigi or Pilates? Thanks for your thoughts.

    Hi Sando,

    Two very different mountains. It perhaps depends on other mountains you may have visited already. Rigi has more hiking and Pilatus is higher and perhaps nicer views over Lucerne.

    I would rather do Pilatus. You get a boat ride to Alpnachstad. Try to take the Driver’s cab ride to Pilatus…one person can go up the front seat in driver’s cabin with running history which is very interesting and worth the extra 98CHF. On the way back, if you are adventurous enough, do the togoggan ride at Fräkmüntegg.

    Te best Alpine experience would be at Titlis.
