    Hi there!

During our coming trip to Switzerland, another friend of us will be in Munich on business. He is planning to meet us over the weekend in Luzern and do some sight seeing together (Luzern boat ride + Mt. Rigi). He does not intent to purchase any travel pass but may consider Swiss Saver Day Pass (purchase without a half fare pass) which would cover all his travel fares in Switzerland for the day. If that is the case, what should be his “end destination” for his train ticket from Munich? Thanks a lot and look forward to ideas and suggestions.

    Hi AskSwiss,

He would need a ticket from Munich to Lucerne. There is only one main station in Lucerne. You can find information about point-to-point tickets from Munich to Lucerne here: http://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/germany. If your friend plans to get a Saver Day Pass for this trip, he would only need a ticket from Munich to St Margrethen as the Saver Day Pass will cover his journey in Switzerland.

Let us know if you need more info.

    Regards,

    Anna
